It never ceases to amaze how seemingly intelligent people think they've scored a "win" because some TV famous person or talking head, or a stopped clock investor, "Gets Bitcoin". Why does anyone care about these irrelevant people? How can they not understand the SCALE of Bitcoin?

The people LARPing about UTXOs and $5 wrench attacks if you don't use Coin Control aren't the future of Bitcoin. The vast majority of people will never use Coin Control. They will use Bitcoin the way they use WhatsApp. This is a statement of absolute fact. Bitcoin isn't a threat.

Should these fine grained tools be available to everyone? Of course they should. There is nothing wrong with having full control over your software. This is a matter of realistic expectations of what the inevitable future will look like, and it is possible to see it in advance.

Realistically, ordinary people, who can barely understand Bitcoin at all, will never use Coin Control. They will however, accept what app developers put in front of them, and new techniques will put fearmongering to death forever. Bitcoin will be normalized. That's a fact.

When normal people start promoting Bitcoin, you will never read about the fearmonger's phrase du jour. It will be identical to Apple's PR and advertising, making everything, including security, seem as natural as a flower bed of petunias. The age of the Anonymous mask will end.

Anyone who does not embrace normalization, and who continues to promote negative imagery, phrases, and Bitcoin as a potential threat to its users, will be sidelined and left behind. No one wants to hear negative stories, horror, that Bitcoin comes with threats by default, etc.
