I’ve been meditating in virasana (kneeling) for years, but the past few days I’ve been trying the lotus position (just half-lotus for now). It’s very stable and great for my posture, but my feet are completely numb after just 20 minutes!

Really admire your grace. Why not try head-stand (sirsasana). But be careful about the center of mass at head (use hands for support).

time will change this..as your pelvis/hips become wider (open up more, dont know how to say it) with time it gets more and more comfortable until its fully relaxing pose

a small pillow under your back side helps. Changing the angle also helps keeping straight back easier.
