The goal of the tax plan is to make American companies and workers more competitive by eliminating incentives to offshore investment, substantially reducing profit shifting, countering tax competition on corporate rates, and providing tax preferences for clean energy production.

Importantly, this plan would generate new funding to pay for sustained increase in investments in infrastructure, research & support for manufacturing, fully paying for the investments in the American Jobs Plan over a 15-year period and continuing to generate revenue permanently.

Big news: President Biden announced that yesterday, we hit 150 million shots administered since he took office. We’re well on our way to hitting our goal of 200 million shots in the first 100 days.

🚨 Economic Impact Payment Update! Along with @FiscalService and @IRSnews, we’ve now disbursed over 156 million payments! The 4th batch of over 25 million payments will start showing up in bank accounts today.

Most of this 4th batch will go to Social Security, SSDI, and RRB beneficiaries who did not file a 2019 or 2020 tax return or did not use the Non-Filers Tool last year, & those who received payments in March based on 2019 returns but are due more $ based on their 2020 return.

The IRS continues to work w/ the VA to review information, & expects payments to eligible VA beneficiaries who don’t usually file a tax return to be processed this weekend, and payments to arrive on April 14th. The Get My Payment tool will have info for VA starting this weekend.

Approx. 85% of all payments since March 12th have been made by direct deposit, up from 74% in the first round in 2020 and 78% in the second round in January. Over 3.1 million Direct Express cardholders have received payments electronically since March 12th, also.
