Bitcoin's liveliness is at its ATH. Invented by @TamasBlummer, it decreases when people hodl and increases when they spend coins. It would be 1 if all bitcoins were spent at once and 0 if none was ever spent. Right now it's at 0.613 full chart at charts.coinmetrics.io/formul…

Some old coins moved today (100 BTC from June 2010). It's very rare to see pre-GPUΒ era bitcoins move, it only happened dozens of times in the past few years. And no, it's probably not Satoshi.

Looks like $XVG (Verge) experienced a massive 560k+ blocks reorg. @coinmetrics' node is on a new chain whose last common ancestor with the previous chain dates to July 2020.

Assuming all Bitcoin mining ASICs are S9 machines (pessimistic assumption), they'd all fit on a single one of the largest container ships. If all ASICs are newer S17 machines (optimistic assumption), then they would fit into a much smaller "feeder" class ship.

Another supposedly 2 massive withdrawals from OKex (nitter.net/whale_alert/stat…, nitter.net/whale_alert/stat…) yet the source entity (oxt.me/entity/tiid/247839845…) has very western temporal patterns.

These outflows are actually from Gemini. OKex's Bitcoin and Ethereum wallets have been silent since 3AM UTC. See oxt.me/address/bc1quq29mutxk… Not only does that address belongs to the Gemini cluster, but its emporal activity matches the US much more than Asia.
Prior to the suspension of cryptocurrency withdrawals from #OKEx, we observed large BTC outflows from the exchange. According to our data, a total of 10,000 BTC (~$113 million) were withdrawn in two large batches in the past 48h. #Bitcoin Live chart: studio.glassnode.com/metrics…
