This is a screenshot from iMessage. At the top it says "DG" in a circle, and "Don >", meaning this is a screenshot of a conversation with the contact Don Gaetz. The message is on the left and gray, meaning this phone received the message, it didn't send it.

The article says Don Gaetz claimed to receive this text from Bob Kent. If this is a screenshot from Don's phone, why is this a convo with his own contact instead of with Kent's? If this were a screenshot from Kent's phone, why is this is a received message, not a sent one?

It's possible that he copied the text in order to send the content to someone else (maybe Matt) so he could read it.
