Here's a sampling of the content that the CEO of Gab has emailed to all its users in the last few days. Totally normal behavior for a social network, right? Not at all extremist/white supremacist/religious fundamentalist

“People are reaching out to me because they are angry with @AmazonNews. Management knows about their employees having to urinate in bottles. They address it frequently in meetings & it’s in the books. It’s happening all the time.” - @KenKlippenstein, with @TheIntercept

If police forces are essentially sound, with a few bad apples, explain why Derek Chauvin, with 17 misconduct complaints and four fatal encounters, was a field training officer.

I'm sure that Fox News will eventually stop booking Pete, but in the meantime, he'll keep doing this:

This is absolutely the wrong take. Facial recognition didn't prevent the Capitol attack. It may have helped the FBI catch a few participants after the fact, but its overall impact is enormous harm & suffering for the very same communities the rioters were trying to disenfranchise
Why use of facial recognition by authorities should not be blanket forbidden.

Reminder for California residents, you can opt out of the sale of your data by LexisNexia here consumer.risk.lexisnexis.com…
LexisNexis just signed a $16.8 million contract to sell a massive database of personal info to ICE, which will use it to track people down. Amazing to me that LexisNexis has avoided the public image of Palantir despite powering the same deportation machine theintercept.com/2021/04/02/…

This Taylor Swift stan took a stand in solidarity with Palestinians! Today 2 years ago, the 19yo Israeli girl behind @LegitTayUpdates was released from prison after refusing to join the Israeli military. During her 2-month sentence, she still gave her updates from the inside.

Female soldier was allegedly sexually assaulted by *22* other troops at the Army training base in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, Pentagon official tells me. Video of the incidents has been circulating among servicemembers. theintercept.com/2021/04/02/…

Matt Gaetz is a disgusting creep. Having sex with minors is statutory rape and as a 38yo he shouldn't go after teenagers, even if they are >18yo Also consensual sex work should be legal. Gaetz and all other hypocrites in Congress who hire sex workers should be legalizing it

The Matt Gaetz story is a reminder that just because someone appears to be a completely awful person in public, it doesn’t mean they aren’t also an even more terrible person in private.

The incredible speed with which Trump disappeared from public consciousness the second he was banned from Twitter really underlines how he never would've become president if he was banned in the first place. People don't want to accept that the world works like this but it does.

I think I speak for the vast majority of Matts when I say that Rep. Gaetz would not be our first choice to represent us in Congress.

Daniel Hale helped inform the public about the government's secret drone assassinations. He's a hero, and sending him to jail makes a mockery of the First Amendment. Thanks to his sacrifice, we know much more about the government's secret kill lists: theintercept.com/drone-paper…
Hale pleaded guilty to one count of violating the Espionage Act. He admitted sharing eight secret and three top-secret documents and had no agreement with prosecutors to resolve the case. Four other charges remain pending against him. washingtonpost.com/local/leg…
